The outlaw game

Develop speaking skills and learn about the characters from Sherwood Forest with this Outlaw game.

Share out the character cards. Divide the class into two groups: the villagers and Robin Hood’s Merry Men. From the Merry Men group select a Robin, Maid Marion, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, Alan-a-Dale and Little John (the panel). Give the villagers a few minutes’ thinking time then let each of them give a short (30 second) persuasive talk on why they should be allowed to join the Merry Men. The panel can then ask them questions from the cards or by devising their own. The other Merry Men then vote on whether the villagers are allowed to become Merry Men.
