Emblems

A handy template for creating an emblem. The platypus, kookaburra, kangaroo and wombat are often used in Australia as emblems. Can the children create their own emblem, either for themselves or for their class or school?

Discuss with the class the use of animals in emblems. You could show them some examples. Explain that the characteristics of the animal sometimes mirror the group or society that the emblem is used for. Or the animal will simply remind people of the group, organisation or country.
