After listening to Grandma’s story, Kai decides that he too would like a necklace made of pearls from Aliikai’s kingdom. So, Grandma sets him a series of challenges so that he can gather 10 gleaming pearls – just enough to make a necklace. Can your class help Kai find all ten pearls? This treasure hunt-style activity works well in small groups but you can easily do it as a whole class – you just need a little more preparation time.
