Follow the snowgoose

Over the woods, over the towns, over the empty beaches and the stormy seas, until he came to a wild place where the rocks were shaped like howling wolves – explore the globe with Google® maps.

It’s always interesting when reading a story to think about the setting. With stories like The Christmas Wish, which is primarily about a journey, it’s interesting, geographically speaking, to talk about where the journey leads – and Google Earth™ is perfect for starting that exploration. The Christmas Wish is a fantastical journey but you can apply the strategies discussed here to any story, from Mary and Joseph’s journey to be registered in Bethlehem right through to Scott of the Antarctic. All it will take is a list of the places that are visited en route.
